Sammy Epelbaum specializes in complex commercial litigation, both at the appellate and trial court levels in the federal and state courts. Through the course of his practice, Sammy has also prosecuted criminal matters in the state and federal courts, defended and prosecuted medical malpractice actions, represented clients in family law disputes, and presented oral arguments before the Governor’s Accessibility Council and the Florida Building Commission.

Sammy received his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in 2003 from the University of Florida. Though a Gator at heart, in 2003 Sammy moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend law school at Emory University. Sammy received a number of honors while at Emory University, including repeatedly placing on the Dean’s list and receiving a Merit of Distinction in Criminal Procedure II. Sammy was also a semi-finalist in Emory’s Moot Court Competition. While in law school, Sammy “first chaired” a criminal trial for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.

Sammy was born and raised in the Miami area. He comes from a Cuban family and is fluent in Spanish.
